These are the words I would say from one simple life to another: I would say, come find peace in the Father. Be strong in the Lord and never give up hope. You're going to do great things, I already know. God's got His hand on you so don't live life in fear. Forgive and forget but don't forget why you're here.

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE? So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc) 2. Put it on shuffle 3. Press play 4. For every question, type the song that's playing 5. When you go to a new question, press the next button 6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool...

These years have passed us by So fast it seems like we never got the chance To realize how good life really was And let the moment last And it feels like it was only yesterday When we walked into this place And said I can't wait till I get out of here And now as we walk down this aisle With four years all rolled up in a scroll You can't help but think Hey, Where did the time go
These last four years have been a ride to remember. From freshman year block scheduling, to banana peel trimesters, our class has been through a lot. Today's ceremonies begin the rest of our lives. I wish all of today's graduates good luck, and congratulations.

PHI BETA KAPPA-- for those of you who asked. "Phi Beta Kappa is one of the most prestigious scholastic scholastic organizations to which a student can be elected. The requirements for membership are: 1. Students must follow a college preparatory course of study 2. Only English, Foreign Language, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies courses are allowed in the computation of the Grade Point Average. 3. A scholastic average of 3.75 in the subjects listed above for grades 10, 11, and the first term of 12 is the minimum average allowed. NOTE: Any of the above rules are subject to change by the Association of Phi Beta Kappa. As changes are made you will be notified. If you have any questions about this organization or its rules see Mr. Perrin."

One reoccurring motif is abandonment. A dictatorial worriment for Maya is abandonment: “Why did they send us away? and [sic] what did we do so wrong? So Wrong [sic]? Why at three and four, did we have tags put on our arms to be sent by train alone from Long Beach, California to Stamps, Arkansas, with only the porter to look after us?” (53). The dilemma delves deeper than just her kith and kin. The African American race had involuntarily been abandoned by the Caucasian race, like a high school senior ditching his pregnant girlfriend for fear of being a father, leaving Maya to endure the oppressors trying to tear her down. To the best of her ability, Maya refuses to let anyone impinge upon her progress. She has the strength of volition to fight alone.

+The Girl While most people like to stereotype, I don't. It's probably because I don't really fit into a particular stereotype. I'm a tomboy who enjoys her academics. I get along with a good majority of people. If you get to know me, you'll love me, or hate me. I like being me, so if you don't like that, too bad.
+ The Journal Yes, this journal is friends only. There are people I try keeping from reading my journal, usually the shallow-minded ones but what can you do? My opinions on things show up in here from time to time, I don't ask that you believe in them, but I do ask that you have respect, they are my opinions, and it is my journal.
